Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Marlene of Reading Reality. It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in a physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, books for review from authors, Netgalley, Edelweiss or publishers, as well as gifts or books you won.





First time participating in this book meme. This was supposed to be posted yesterday, but my computer wasn't working properly. Hence, it took me until today to get it.


A total of seven new books and five used books were brought.


The Housemaid by Freida McFadden was on sale at my local bookstore. I grabbed it, not only for the price, but also because everyone recommends it.

Technically, Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid belongs to my sister. She couldn't find the book at the bookstore the last time she went there, so I brought it for her.

The entire time, I was convinced that I owned The Shadow of the Gods by John Gwynne because my sister gaslit me. As it turns out, she was wrong because I didn't see it on my bookshelves. I decide to purchase the Bloodsworn Saga Boxed Set.

This book cover caught my attention. Love Between Fairy and Devil, Vol. 1 by Jiu Lu Fei Xiang. Since I wasn't able to purchase this book for myself, my sister bought it for me. I was curious about the book after watching the c-drama. While I was in the bookstore, I didn't find volume two.

In the process of building my library, I have added a few volumes of Jujutsu Kaisen. Due to a lack of volume 9-13, I only purchased volumes 6-8.



I bought five used manga from my local used bookstore. Honestly, I wasn't planning on purchasing The Cain Saga, Absolute Boyfriend, Angel Sanctuary, or Black Cat. The reason I bought is because I rarely see these mangas on store shelves. Although I know it was a dumb purchase, I don't regret it.
